Marilyn was taken from us suddenly and way too soon. She was born and raised in Modesto,CA. In the late 70's Marilyn moved to San Jose to share a home with her sister, Patti. they lived, worked, socialized and traveled together and were as close as two people can be. She enjoyed bowling, skiing, water skiing and camping. In 1980, she met Daryl Chandler and fell instantly in love! She moved to Colorado Springs, CO and they were married in Modesto in 1981. They later moved to Denver,CO to raise their 3 daughters. Marilyn held a supervisory position at Hewlitt Packard in Denver. Besides working full time, running a household and raising children, she also had time to sew clothing as well as costumes for the girls and travel and socialize with Daryl. In 1987, they moved back to California and marilyn transferred jobs to Hewlitt Packard in Mt View. When the girls were starting high school they moved to Vacaville, CA. There Marilyn worked part time as a book keeper in order to pay for college tuition and family extras. In 2004, she and Daryl retired, sold their home and moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID. They bought a home overlooking the beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. She truly enjoyed seeing the nature and wildlife that surrounded the home as well. Marilyn moved her parents up to live with them and cared for them until they moved into a retirement home there. She and Daryl have done a lot of traveling together to other countries and more recently to many of the states here in our own country. Marilyn loved sewing and making quilts for her loved ones. She was talented with any craft and interior design. She loved doing skits at parties and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed riding around the lake in Daryl's boat to various spots along the way on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Her favorite drink was an Irish coffee. She also loved to gamble at the casinos. Marilyn loved her friends and family and loved to spend time with them. Besides her children, she also enjoyed time with her 9 grandchildren. Her children are Tammy (Matt) Sharp, Allison (Gary) McClellan and Jessica (Evor)Vattuone. Her grandchildren are Courtney and Charlie Sharp, Nathaniel Risenhoover and Aiden, Devin, Megan McClellan, Joelle Sarmiento and Elise and Evore Vattuone. Marilyn is the daughter of Anthony and Virginia Valim, who have predeceased her along with her brother, Richard Valim. She is survived by her loving husband Daryl, her children, grandchildren, sister, Patti Valim Loranger and brother Stanley Valim, brother-in-law, Marc Loranger, sister-in-law, Cheryl Chandler Exum and Cathy Kleinschmit valim and her Godchildren, Ida Dinkins, Karen Toppila and Danielle Loranger, many neices and nephews and numerous loving friends. Marilyn was love and respected by everyone who knew her and we were all truly blessed to have known her and to have her touch our lives.
